UPDATE: Our plans moving forward from Monday 19th July 2021

After watching the cases rise locally it is very clear we are not over the pandemic just yet and therefore we wish to move forward carefully and cautiously so the following will apply from Tuesday 20th July 2021

After consultation with our team we have made the decision that our staff will keep on wearing masks while they are interacting with our guests. It is now down to personal choice but we would love you to keep wearing them indoors or whilst you move about the pub as a courtesy to others and to protect yourself and our team.

We’ll also be keeping up with sanitising hands and temperature checks on arrival, sanitisers will remain available throughout the pub along with regular enhanced cleaning procedures of tables, surfaces and touch points.

Table service will remain for both inside and outside seating areas all we ask is that you continue to book your tables in advance of your visit. This will allow us to ensure everyone has somewhere comfortable and safe to enjoy their time at the Weston Cross and allow us to control the amount of customers on the premises. Please do not stand at the bar counter for service. Tables will remain socially distanced for the time being.

We will be operating with a reduced staffing team, so we will be offering our usual tasty pub grub, albeit from a smaller menu for the time being, all of which can be enjoyed in our beer garden al fresco or inside in the pub.. We are kindly asking guests to preorder their food if possible to reduce stress within the kitchen team and to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

At this time we are only permitting dogs on a lead in the garden.

Track and trace will remain and our NHS QR code along with our forms are available if you would like to scan/fill them in but this is no longer mandatory.

Following our successful takeaway service we will be continuing to provide this. We have been truly amazed at the support you have given us during these times. It really has been humbling. The menu will continue to be updated weekly on both our Website and Facebook page and you can telephone your order through as usual.

Please be patient with us as we adapt to our new operational norms, as much of this is as new to us as it is to you! Sadly the country isn’t out of the woods yet but we will be doing our very best to keep our staff and customers as safe as possible as we move on to the next stage of restrictions. We will keep you informed as the days and weeks pass on how we intend to open up further.

We look forward to seeing you all again at the Weston Cross, we are especially excited with the prospect of enjoying some different company for a change!

To book you space for either a drink or a bite to eat, please contact The Weston Cross on 01989562759

For the absence of any confusion, we will not be taking bookings via our social media channels.
