Lockdown is on us yet again. For us it’s pretty much back to the March to July model with the return of our takeaway service. I’m sure lockdown this time is going to be very different from last time. For a start the weather doesn’t look as good and we will be spending a lot more time indoors. Some of us will be continuing to go to work, some of us who can work from home will be doing that, others along with all of our staff will be placed on furlough yet again. Nurseries, schools, colleges and universities are to continue to remain open and all essential shops can continue to trade but alas pubs, hotels and bars along with most of the hospitality and leisure industry will have to close. So for us that will mean that from the 5th November we will only be serving Takeaways. It is going to be a loooooong month!!!!
It goes without saying that 2020 has been a huge challenge to us in all in terms of our physical and mental wellbeing. COVID-19 has sent colossal ripples across the world and has disrupted our lives in ways none of us imagined. None of us know what the other side of lockdown is going to look like Or even if Christmas will happen this year? Will we be able to have family in our homes? Will we be able to see in New Year together? So many questions remain that no one can answer with any certainty.
We are all watching to see how this Virus is developing and how the Governments are responding across the world to the ever changing risks that people face both financially and emotionally. We are preparing as a nation that the virus is going to be around for the foreseeable future, and so we have to keep ourselves safe and really hope that better days will come. Our gratitude and best wishes go out to our team of staff, customers and friends who have supported us so well during these uncertain times. So please stay safe and well and hopefully see you for a takeaway soon. We’ve got this.
